At HILTL, every button is a hallmark of quality. Made from urea or corozo, it is attached to the outer fabric with a long thread shank, wrapped with red thread and heat-sealed. This “button shank” sits exceptionally securely, makes the waistband easier to open and close, and eliminates the need for spare buttons. A genuine HILTL pair of trousers can be recognised by its red shank.
What is usually characteristic only of bespoke tailoring comes as standard in every pair of HILTL trousers: an eyelet buttonhole with a bartack. The eyelet buttonhole ensures the button sits perfectly in the desired position.
